Coordinator of Family and Community Engagement, Stamford

General Statement:
The Coordinator of Family & Community Engagement is responsible for developing, coordinating, and ensuring the effectiveness of systems to promote student, family, and community engagement across the district. The Coordinator/Director will facilitate and support comprehensive programs to provide parents and those individuals who care for children attending Stamford Public Schools with information about and support to access available resources in the schools and community; promote a respect for the parents and caregivers as partners in education; liaison with all of the agencies providing family and child services and make that information available to families; coordinate and provide support for the school Parent Facilitators; and provide oversight for several additional programs listed below.
 
The Coordinator of Family & Community Engagement will be required to work evenings and weekends as needed and to do related work as required.
 
The Coordinator of Family & Community Engagement reports to the Associate Superintendent for Access & Opportunity.

Middle School Principal, Cloonan Middle School, Stamford

General Statement
The Middle School principal works with the District Administrative Team to prepare each and every student in their school for higher education and success in the 21st century.  The principal is the academic and the administrative leader of his/her school, and is responsible for communicating and supporting the vision of:

  • High expectations for the achievement of all students in their building
  • High Quality academic programs within all classrooms in their school, including curriculum, instruction, and assessment
  • School support and accountability systems including supervision and evaluation of employees, planning and implementing school improvement plans, leadership, and professional development for all staff members
  • Shared responsibility by the entire school community(faculty, staff, students and families) for achievement of the School and District Goals

The Middle School principal reports to the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.

Superintendent, Katonah-Lewisboro School District, NY

Located in Westchester County, New York, the Katonah-Lewisboro School District serves approximately 2,800 students, K-12. Before attending John Jay Middle School and High School in Cross River, NY, elementary students attend one of three K-5 elementary schools located in Goldens Bridge, Katonah, and
South Salem, NY.

The Katonah-Lewisboro community values education and is supportive of the work of the school district; a bond referendum for $49.5 million was recently approved by voters to support capital improvements at each school building.
